PolyGram Records subsidiary label Hammer & Lace Records, which was
established to spotlight health and social welfare causes, is set to release two
new albums to benefit underprivileged kids and men and women with cancer.
The label will release Friends for Life on June 29, with proceeds slated
for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and CaP (the Association
for the Cure of Cancer of the Prostate). The album will feature Aretha
Franklin and Elton John singing "Through The Storm" and
Amy Grant and Vince Gill singing "House of Love." The label
also is planning to release Saving Grace, which will benefit FAST
(Families and Schools Together), on June 22. The album will feature tracks by
Shania Twain, the Judds and Rod Stewart.
