PolyGram Benefit Albums Boast Aretha, Elton And Others

PolyGram Records subsidiary label Hammer & Lace Records, which was

established to spotlight health and social welfare causes, is set to release two

new albums to benefit underprivileged kids and men and women with cancer.

The label will release Friends for Life on June 29, with proceeds slated

for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and CaP (the Association

for the Cure of Cancer of the Prostate). The album will feature Aretha

Franklin and Elton John singing "Through The Storm" and

Amy Grant and Vince Gill singing "House of Love." The label

also is planning to release Saving Grace, which will benefit FAST

(Families and Schools Together), on June 22. The album will feature tracks by

Shania Twain, the Judds and Rod Stewart.
