Kendrick Lamar Crashed The Weeknd’s Concert To Rap His ‘Sidewalks’ Verse

It was their first time performing the track together live

Kendrick Lamar was one of the most exciting guests to contribute to The Weeknd's new album, Starboy, and now the two artists have proven that their chemistry extends beyond the studio.

During a recent club show in L.A., The Weeknd launched into "Sidewalks" alone. When Kendrick's verse came around, it seemed like the rapper's voice was piping in via a prerecorded vocal track — that is, until Kendrick himself appeared in the flesh onstage.

Footage shot from the crowd shows Abel Tesfaye acting as an enthusiastic hypeman while Kendrick absolutely nails his verse. If their energy is this compatible IRL, let's hope Abel and Kendrick haven't ruled out sharing more studio time in the future.
