Work parties — especially around the holidays — are pretty predictable: people eat, people drink, people drink too much, that guy from HR who stares at people too long in the elevator has Very Strong Opinions about "Jingle Bell Rock" after his blood type goes from O-neg to eggnog, etc.
But given how working for Beyoncé isn't exactly a run-of-the-mill gig, there was nothing typical about the holiday shindig she threw for her company, which involved her taking center stage and performing one of her favorite tracks from her 2016 triumph, Lemonade.
TMZ reports that Bey shut down L.A.'s Wilshire Ebell Theatre for her management and production company, Parkwood Entertainment, in the name of yuletide cheer. In addition to handing out Lemonade-inspired treats and screening her visual album at the event, she also performed a jazzy rework of "All Night" and hung out with her Destiny's Child gals, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
Before the night wrapped, she offered sincere thanks to those who made Lemonade — and her extraordinary 2016 — possible, recalling the days of shooting in swamps that went into the final product and the efforts of all involved.
It's pretty safe to assume that everyone at that Parkwood party walked out of there feeling like they'd received the best Christmas present ever. (And they probably had way better eggnog than your office did, too.)
