Reese Witherspoon Just Dropped A Taylor Swift Dubstep Cover

We have a lot of questions, but here’s the first: Why?

We knew Reese Witherspoon could sing back when her performance as June Carter Cash in 2005's Walk the Line scored her an Oscar, but she hasn't really worked those pipes for all they're worth since then — until now.

The soundtrack to the new animated film Sing is here, and on it, Witherspoon — who voices Rosita, a pig momma who wanted to be a singer but kissed that dream goodbye to raise a huge family — covers Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off" with some pretty goofy assistance from Nick Kroll.

That's not the only goofy part, actually: Sing's rendition of "Shake It Off" turns the pop hit off 1989 into an EDM jam, and that dubstep breakdown is the stuff of dance-floor nightmares. Eep. Witherspoon sounds great, though!

Witherspoon and Kroll's "Shake It Off" joins the previously released "Faith," an original tune for the film featuring Ariana Grande and Stevie Wonder.
