It's the most wonderful time of the year for pop music lovers: Jingle Ball season.
KIIS FM's star-studded concert series rolled into Los Angeles Friday night (December 2), toting a killer lineup of pop's biggest names and buzziest newcomers. Each act stuck to Jingle Ball's reliably exciting and whirlwind strategy: performing three to six songs and focusing only on their biggest hits. It's like getting 10 best-of performances in a single night, which is great for everyone's energy levels, attention spans, and Snapchat bragging rights.
From the second Bruno Mars galloped onto the Staples Center stage and tore through "24K Magic," it was a nonstop party packed with energy, festive fun, and even a special birthday surprise. Check out the best moments from each performer:

Standout moment: When a pair of fake firefighters emerged during Mars’s “Uptown Funk” finale and used a fire extinguisher to spray the stage (because his set was JUST THAT HOT).
Niall Horan briefly serenaded us with “This Town.”Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images
Standout moment: I guess the entire song? He wasn’t onstage for more than five minutes, but he did promise to share more music “next time.” So at least there’s that.
Daya proved she’s an artist to keep an eye on.Mike Windle/Getty Images
Standout moment: Her rendition of her Chainsmokers collab “Don’t Let Me Down” featured a wailing electric guitar, giving it a harder, more rock-fueled vibe.
Lukas Graham made us all reconsider our lives.Mike Windle/Getty Images
Standout moment: The emotionally vulnerable hit “7 Years,” which they dedicated to “all the young ones out there.”
Alessia Cara had fun at a party for once.Christopher Polk/Getty Images
Standout moment: Her entrance. The “Here” singer ran onstage and began wildly pounding on a bass drum with her back to the crowd. Appropriately enough, that served as the intro to “Wild Things.”
Meghan Trainor was full of holiday spirit.Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images
Standout moment: When she dedicated “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” to her family in the audience and encouraged everyone to hold their loved ones close, especially during the holiday season. Oh, and her saxophone player sang John Legend’s solo and CRUSHED IT.
Fifth Harmony were bosses who proved they’re worth it.Mike Windle/Getty Images
Standout moment: Their hilarious recorded intro from DJ Khaled (“They don’t want me to introduce Fifth Harmony!”), and pretty much every time Normani was a mini Beyoncé (so ... basically every five seconds).
Diplo supplied the mid-show dance break.Kevin Winter/Getty Images
Standout moment: When he ended his set on an upbeat note by saying, “If 2017’s going to be the best year of your life, put your hands up,” and then launching into “Lean On.”
Britney Spears hosted the most epic
slumberbirthday party.Christopher Polk/Getty Images
Standout moment: Besides her nostalgia-inducing setlist (“Stronger”! “Crazy”! “I’m a Slave 4 U”!), the highlight was definitely Brit’s “Slumber Party” finale, which featured a surprise cameo from Tinashe. After that, Ryan Seacrest led the crowd in singing “Happy Birthday” to the now-35-year-old, and Brit was adorably flustered.
Justin Bieber hit every high note.Kevin Winter/Getty Images
Standout moment: During the acoustic portion of his set — which included his and Major Lazer’s “Cold Water,” as well as a verse from Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car” — Justin hesitated. As he approached the final chorus of “Love Yourself,” he asked the crowd, “Should I take it one octave higher? I don’t know if I’m going to hit the high note.” He attempted it, nailed it, and then proudly confirmed, “Yep, I hit it.” As if we ever doubted you, JB.
