Rihanna Dressed Like A Glam Mall Cop to Accept Her ‘Shoe of The Year’ Award

I know that sounds confusing, but just stay with me here

We already know Rihanna is Queen of Shoes, but last night made it official. The artist/fashion mogul became the first woman to receive the Footwear News “Shoe of the Year” award for her outrageously popular Fenty X Puma Creeper.

In addition to her signature sneaker, she wore a look straight from the Vetements runway. I think it is most efficiently described as “Glamorous French Security Guard,” or perhaps, “Goth Mall Cop.”

Only Rihanna could get away with pairing stunning jewels with a hat and t-shirt that say “security” in French (yes, I did have to use Google Translate to figure that out).

In her acceptance speech, Rihanna said the award made her “proud to be a woman and proud to be a young woman from Barbados, especially.” Awww ... please excuse me while I dab my tears with velvet gloves.
