Green Day Led An Anti-Trump Chant During Their AMA Performance

A punk message for the president-elect

Green Day took the AMA stage last night (November 20) with a surprise message for America's new president-elect and his supporters.

About two-thirds of the way into the band's single "Bang Bang," Billie Joe Armstrong led the crowd in a chant that's commonly heard at anti-Trump protests: "No Trump, no KKK, no fascist U.S.A.!"

This is the band that wrote American Idiot in response to the Bush era, after all. There's no way they were just going to stay quiet through another Republican presidency — especially not one this explicitly hateful.
