Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard Befriends The Biggest Dog You’ve Ever Seen In PUP’s New Video

Mike Wheeler has returned to his Canadian punk roots

Before he was Mike Wheeler, Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard practiced his acting chops in the world of punk-rock music videos.

Back in 2014, Wolfhard starred in Toronto band PUP’s video for “Guilt Trip,” playing a younger version of the band’s lead singer, Stefan Babcock. Now he’s returned to the role in a new video that aims a buzz saw directly at your heartstrings.

In “Sleep in the Heat,” Babcock and his band adopt a huge dog while roughing it on the road. You already know how sad stories about dogs go, but the real kicker is the extra home footage of PUP’s own dead pets from years past. Babcock wrote the song about his chameleon, Norman, dying, but let’s face it: Big, fluffy dogs have a much better screen presence than lizards.
