Gucci Mane And Future Invite You Into The Studio With Their New Surprise Mixtape

They finished recording 'Free Bricks 2' less than 24 hours before releasing it

The two most prolific rappers of 2016 have dropped off six brand-new tracks with very little warning.

Gucci Mane and Future teamed up for Free Bricks 2: Zone 6 Edition, a sequel to the Free Bricks mixtape the pair released in 2011.

After a brief countdown on Twitter, Gucci shared the new mini-tape Monday night (November 14) at precisely 10:17 p.m.

The new songs were recorded last weekend in Atlanta, and neither artist wanted to waste any time before getting them out into the world. "We knocked out six songs so crazy that I knew we couldn’t just sit on it," Gucci told Miss Info. "We talked about recording some more, adding more songs. But I didn’t want to overthink it or over-plan things. Even Future didn’t think we were dropping this tonight. This is the freshest it can get. These joints ain’t even 24 hours old. That’s like bringing you in the studio with us."

Free Bricks 2 follows Woptober and Everybody Looking in a seemingly inexhaustible stream of releases from Gucci this year.
