Lindsay Lohan No Longer Sounds Like Lindsay Lohan

Hear her brand-new accent

It’s been 18 years since Lindsay Lohan faked a British accent for The Parent Trap, but her language skills remain grooler than ever. On Tuesday (November 1), a Greek newspaper shared a video interview with the Mean Girls star outside her LOHAN nightclub in Athens. Her voice sounds, well, very different from her time as a Plastic.

“I want LOHAN to be a celebration of everybody coming together,” she shares in the clip above. She opened the venue with business partner Dennis Papageorgiou in early October. “You can go out, have a nice night. You don’t have to drink.”

As for her twang that’s impossible to place, Lohan told the Daily Mail that she doesn’t know where it came from — “Je ne sais pas” were her exact words, meaning “I do not know” in French — but she’s always been quite the linguist.

“I’ve been learning different languages since I was a child,” she explained. “I’m fluent in English and French can understand Russian and am learning Turkish, Italian, and Arabic.” Her accent combines all those influences into a sound that merits its own name. Her pick? Lilohan.

“We should let the people decide [on a name],” she later said. Start tweeting her your suggestions now.
