5 Life Lessons We Learned From Season 1 Of Loosely Exactly Nicole

College degree, what? Everything we know, we learned from Nicole

Tonight's Loosely Exactly Nicole finale is your cold, hard proof that a little hard work and creativity go a long way.

Following a serious rough patch, including a failed career in retail and an impromptu marriage, Nicole found herself desperate to catch a break. And catch a break she did when she landed a kick-ass acting gig thanks to her endless perseverance. That would be only one of many life lessons we've learned from the feisty comedienne, including (but definitely not limited to):

  1. Stick with what you know and love

Don't let a bad audition or five shatter your spirits! After one nasty tryout in particular, Nic decided to trade acting for a gig in sales, but she wasn't happy. She also wasn't too thrilled taking improv classes — girl was dying to do her own thing! It was only when she truly did things her way (aka putting on a solo show of epic proportions) did she finally taste the nectar of sweet, sweet success.

  2. Don't let the "blitches" of the world get you down

When Nicole's improv teacher Blix basically flunked her out of improv class and single-handedly tried to sabotage her show, Nic did what any self-respecting woman would do: Called her a blitch and moved on with her life. Oh, and karma's a blitch, too, because Nicole actually got the same acting job that Blix was after. HA!

  3. Be a good friend, no matter what

Despite a brief falling out or two with her besties Devin and Veronica, the aspiring actress forged on with the friendships and continued to show up through thick and thin. Thanks to this attitude, Dev came up with the grand idea of a one-woman show and hooked Nicole up with a venue on the cheap! Show up for your friends, and they'll show up for you.

  4. Keep your sense of humor

If you take one thing away from Loosely Exactly Nicole, it's that laughter is KEY. Don't take yourself too seriously, even after no one shows up to the "soft" opening of your show. Nic clearly isn't afraid to laugh at herself -- or anyone else, for that matter.

  5. And if all else fails, show off your assets

Hey, if you've got it... flaunt it? Just don't blame us if you get arrested for indecent exposure.
