D.R.A.M. And Erykah Badu’s ‘WiFi’ Is A Sexy Slow Jam For The Internet Age

The sexiest cellular single since ‘Hotline Bling’

A day before the release of his debut album, D.R.A.M. has served up one of the LP’s most anticipated collabs: “WiFi,” featuring neo-soul queen Erykah Badu.

The sultry number is basically a slow jam for millennials, as the Virginia MC checks up on his girl’s Wi-Fi sitch so they can ... uh ... connect. “Is there signal in your house? / While we chilling on the couch / Baby, do you got Wi-Fi?” he asks over a funky instrumental. “Miss Erykah Badu” answers the call with sauciness to spare: “Boy, I got Wi-Fi / And my service is nice at that / And it comes at no price at that,” she croons, continuing her penchant for singing about technology in sexual innuendos.

D.R.A.M. spoke about the collaboration with Badu in a recent GQ interview, saying, “She’s the queen. It’s just a nice introduction to the combination of what D.R.A.M. and Erykah Badu sounds like. She’s cool, the whole process was just smooth. No pulling of teeth. She’s one of a kind.”

The rapper’s Big Baby D.R.A.M. arrives tomorrow, and also features Young Thug and Lil Yachty, who guests on the instantly uplifting “Broccoli.” It also has the cutest album cover you’ll probably ever see; just sayin’.
