Nicki Minaj Has A Major Fan Girl Moment With Lauryn Hill

😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒

When you pick an inspirational quote for your yearbook page, the chances of you meeting the person who came up with it in the first place are pretty slim β€” unless you're Nicki Minaj.

Backstage in Brooklyn for TIDALX: 1015, Minaj β€” who performed at the event, along with BeyoncΓ©, Alicia Keys, Blood Orange, and more β€” ran smack into none other than Ms. Lauryn Hill, who also hit the TIDALX stage to sing at the charity concert. She's one of her idols, and Minaj completely and totally lost every single ounce of chill she had upon meeting her.

Who can blame her?! Hill is a legend in her own right, and Minaj was brought to near tears when she found herself face-to-face with her. "No, no, no, no!" she cried before getting on her knees in a state of shock. "Please! I'm in love with you! Your spirit, your mind, everything about you!"

The quote in question: "To survive is to stay alive in the face of opposition," a lyric from "Forgive Them Father" off Hill's 1998 album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.

They posed for a quick pic, and, yup β€” couldn't be happier for Minaj, and based on that smile, we're not sure she could be happier, either.
