Exciting news, Gilmore Girls lovers: For one day this week, you can get the same caffeine fix as Lorelai and Rory so that you, too, can speak exclusively in speedy witticisms.
Ahead of the show’s Netflix revival, the streaming service is hosting Luke’s Diner pop-ups around the country on Wednesday (October 5), which just so happens to be the 16th anniversary of Gilmore Girls. Over 200 cafes and coffee shops (there’s at least one in each state) will be transformed into the fictional Stars Hollow greasy spoon, complete with branded t-shirts and aprons (crabby, flannel-wearing baristas are not necessarily guaranteed). To sweeten the deal, Netflix is picking up the tab for the first 250 customers at each location, who will find a “fun surprise under their custom Gilmore Girls coffee sleeve.”
The pop-ups will run from 7 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, so set those alarm clocks accordingly. A full list of participating locations can be found here. And on the off chance you need a reminder about when to put your life on hold and start binge-watching, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life premieres on Netflix on November 25.
