Chance The Rapper’s Favorite Indie Artist Just Put Out A New Record

Francis and the Lights’ latest contains ‘every emotion’ from Magnificent Coloring Day

Chance the Rapper took over U.S. Cellular Field on Chicago’s South Side on Saturday (September 24) for the first-ever Magnificent Coloring Day, and he brought quite a few friends with him, including his Coloring Book collaborator Francis and the Lights.

A few hours after performing at MCD, Francis put out a new album of his very own. It’s called Farewell, Starlite!, and Chance can’t stop tweeting about it.

“Every emotion from yesterday and more lives in this album,” Chance said on Sunday (September 25). Plus, true to the Lil Chano ethos, Farewell, Starlite! can be streamed or downloaded for free.

Kanye West appears through heavy Auto-Tune on one track, “My City’s Gone,” and the album also includes the Bon Iver collab “Friends.”

After asking for his fans’ opinions on Francis’s new music, Chance churned up a storm of retweets. Magnificent Coloring Day might be over, but the feelings live on.
