After a quote attributed to her recent Wonderland cover story brought her political leanings under a white-hot spotlight, Kim Kardashian has spelled out exactly why she's officially voting for Hillary Clinton.
The quote in question and the confusion surrounding it came from the Evening Standard, which quoted Kim as having said that she was "on the fence" about how she'd cast her vote on November 8, and that a conversation with Caitlyn Jenner, a vocally conservative Republican, had factored into her indecisiveness on the matter. These words do not appear in the Wonderland story, but Kim addressed the remarks and whether or not she'd vote for Clinton, as she'd previously implied, or Donald Trump.
"I had a long conversation with Caitlyn, who has always been open about her political views, and she encouraged me to do my research before making my decision and then vote for the candidate whose policies aligned with the things that matter most to me," she writes.
"And so that's what I did. I thought about the things that are so important to me that they outweigh everything else, such as gun control and protecting women's rights to safe and legal abortion. I found that without a doubt, I stand with Hillary. I'm with her. I believe Hillary will best represent our country and is the most qualified for the job."
So, there you have it: Kim's with her, Caitlyn is not, and you should probably check to see if you're registered to vote so you can cast your own on November 8.
