Kid Cudi apparently woke up with a monster-size chip on his shoulder this morning.

Today (September 14), the rapper went full-on Mr. Rager with a series of 17 raw, rapid-fire tweets that air out his feelings about the hip-hop industry. “I need yall to know I got so many haters within the industry and these clowns know Im bout to crush their entire existence,” he began.

“Everyone thinks they're soooo great. Talkin top 5 and be having 30 people write songs for them,” he continued, before specifying exactly who he’s referring to: “My tweets apply to who they apply. Ye, Drake, whoever. These n****s dont give a fuck about me. And they aint fuckin with me.” He added, "The days of the f--kery are over. The fake ones wont be lasting too much longer."

Cudi taking shots at Drake isn’t particularly eyebrow-raising, especially since Drizzy has a known reputation for using ghostwriters (just ask Meek Mill). But Cudi attacking Kanye West, his former boss and frequent collaborator, is quite the shock. Cudi left the G.O.O.D. Music label in 2013 to forge his own path, but he and Kanye have remained close nonetheless. The two reunited onstage last year for Kanye’s pair of 808s & Heartbreak shows, and Cudder most recently worked on “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1” and “Waves” from ’Ye’s The Life of Pablo.

Cudi wrapped up his unexpected slew of tweets by declaring, "Ive been loyal to those who haven't been to me and that ends now. Now im your threat. Anybody got a issue with my words im glad. If you feel me, dont be scared to use your voice. I was for so long out of blind loyalty."

It’s not immediately clear what spawned Cudi’s attack toward the industry’s “jealous chicken hearted shits” (his words, not mine). Maybe it’s an offbeat promo tactic for his upcoming album? In any case, he and ’Ye are both scheduled to perform at ComplexCon in November, so maybe they’ll work through their issues there. Or maybe it’ll just escalate into a bigger fight. Stay tuned!
