Drake Casually Showed Up At His Goddaughter’s College Volleyball Game

Looks like he gave quite the locker room pep talk

With the NBA in its offseason, Toronto Raptors ambassador Drake has lent his courtside prowess to an unexpected new team: the Long Beach State women’s volleyball squad.

Drake’s goddaughter, Ashley Murray, is a starting player on the college team, and Drizzy showed up at her game last night (September 8) while in Cali for his Summer Sixteen tour.

Ashley shared a photo of her sweatsuit-wearing No. 1 fan in the locker room, writing, “There’s nothing more powerful than when someone shares their blessings. When they show up for you, you show out for them. Thank you for coming to support me and my team. Love you always. Best Godfather ever.”

Drake’s presence at the game reportedly drew one of the team’s biggest crowds, and Ashley had her best game of the year, as Long Beach State pummeled Loyola Marymount University in a 3-0 sweep. Was it all because of the 6 God’s star power? Maybe, or maybe not. But the victors sure looked happy to celebrate their W with him.
