9 Times Other Artists Covered Justin Bieber On Radio 1's Live Lounge

Prep for JB’s Live Lounge debut by revisiting these creative covers

After taking a much-needed break, Justin Bieber is returning to the limelight this week to perform on BBC Radio 1’s famed Live Lounge (a.k.a. the place where cover song magic happens on the regular).

On Thursday, JB will help kick off the segment’s Live Lounge month, which features 24 different artists performing throughout the month of September. Bieber’s appearance was first teased in early August (with a shirtless selfie, natch), and will mark his Live Lounge debut.

While we wait impatiently to find out what Bieber will perform, let’s take a look back at nine times other artists have sung his songs in the Lounge. Treat your ears to these nine creative covers:

  1. The 1975 - “Sorry”

The Matt Healy-fronted band get funky and jazzy with their version of “Sorry.”

  2. Chvrches - “What Do You Mean?”

The Scottish trio pile on the synths for a killer '80s-esque makeover.

  3. Florence + The Machine - “Where Are Ü Now?”

Florence Welch and Co. twist this one into a chilling, emotional tour de force.

  4. Craig David - “Love Yourself”

The veteran R&B singer adds a fiery rap verse to this sweet tell-off tune.

  5. Rixton - “Where Are Ü Now?”

The Jack Ü banger becomes a haunting ballad in the hands of these Brits.

  6. The Vamps - “Sorry”

Frontman Brad Simpson nails every high note in his band's rock-fueled rendition.

  7. Frances - “What Do You Mean?”

Rising singer Frances strips down JB's Purpose jam and turns it into a stunning piano ballad you'll adore.

  8. Lukas Graham - “Love Yourself”

This countrified cover proves why these guys were worthy of a VMA Best New Artist nom.

  9. AlunaGeorge - “Company”

This one'll give you all the soulful bedroom vibes. Ohhhhh yeah.
