Today marks 15 years since Aaliyah died, and Beyoncé honored the late singer’s memory with a major #TBT from an MTV award-show red carpet of yore.
The Lemonade superstar shared a video of herself interviewing Aaliyah at the 2000 MTV Movie Awards, way back when Destiny’s Child were still together.
Beyoncé cohosted the Movie Awards red carpet preshow 16 years ago, and she got to ask Aaliyah who she was most excited to see at the show. Needless to say, both ladies were hyped to watch D’Angelo do his thing.
