Brainiac Martha Cox from the High School Musical trilogy sang about wanting to dance instead of doing homework — which didn’t sit well with her friends. But because Martha was a boss-ass bitch, she basically told them to get lost, choosing her passion over what others thought she “should” do with her life. That brief moment resonated with Disney Channel’s young audience, and actress KayCee Stroh reprised her role for both sequels.
Now a mother of two and actress in the upcoming film Holly, Jingles and Clyde 3D (with other Disney star Steven Anthony Lawrence), Stroh is still not sticking to the status quo. She recently cut her hair and uploaded the pic to Instagram, captioning it, “I remember somebody said ‘Cutting your hair can be addictive’, and here we are.”
This is the first time I’ve ever seen Stroh with short hair, and she totally pulls off the “angled bob” look. Over the years, Stroh’s sported long locks, sometimes in an updo, so it’s nice to see a brand-new look to her. Now she just needs to “pop, and lock, and jam, and break” to celebrate.
