YouTuber Matthew Longua whipped up a supercharged new edit that expertly uses the Beastie Boys’s 1994 hit “Sabotage” (a song that, funnily enough, was once used in the Star Trek universe). Sure, Star Wars is supposed to take place a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, but throwing in a little modern(ish) music ramps up the drama tenfold.
Using footage from both previously released Rogue One trailers, as well as the Star Wars Celebration sizzle reel, Longua makes the anthology flick look way rowdier. Best of all is when Felicity Jones’s Jyn Erso goes, “This is a rebellion isn’t it? I rebel” — right before Ad-Rock’s vocals swoop in. CHILLS, I tell ya.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story premieres in theaters on December 16. Until then, no one will judge you if you hype it up by replaying the above video approximately 472 times. You’re only human, after all.
