President Obama Spends His Summer Listening To Jay Z, Chance The Rapper, And Wale

Plus doing a little Presidenting here and there

President Barack Obama's favorite song of 2015 was Kendrick Lamar's "How Much a Dollar Cost?" but K. Dot didn't make it onto his two-part end-of-summer playlist for 2016. There was plenty of other rap, but actually, the whole thing is a generous sprinkling of all sorts of musical styles.

Obama shared the playlists — "Daytime" and "Nighttime" versions — on Twitter and Spotify. The former is a bit more upbeat and energetic, and the latter is a bit more mellow. He spends his days, apparently, listening to Wale, Jay Z and Pharrell, Nas and Damian Marley, Aloe Blacc, Aretha Franklin, and Leon Bridges, among many others.

The President winds down and gets ready for bed, meanwhile, listening to Chance the Rapper, Mary J. Blige, Anthony Hamilton, and Janet Jackson.

Once again, the man proves that he's got eclectic, awesome taste. Happy final days of summer.
