The Late Late Show with James Corden is about to get a lot more glorious thanks to Britney Spears. The pop superstar announced Wednesday (August 10) that she’ll be the next passenger to cruise ’n croon on Corden’s wildly popular “Carpool Karaoke” segment.
Brit’s appearance is slated to air on Thursday, August 25, just one day before the release of her ninth studio album, Glory. You can expect to hear a lot of hype about her so-called “new era,” but there are a few more things we want to see. Here’s our wish list.
First of all, it needs to happen in this little red car.
Corden’s standard black SUV is snazzy and all, but Britney recently said this siren-red Datsun is her “dream car.” Make her dream a reality, JC!
A reenactment of the road trip from Crossroads.
Britney’s iconic 2002 film had some amazing sing-along scenes where she and her girls belted out NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye,” Shania Twain’s “Man! I Feel Like a Woman,” and Sheryl Crow’s “If It Makes You Happy.” We need all of those songs reenacted ASAP. Corden would have to cover the parts of both Zoe Saldana and Taryn Manning, but I think he’s up to the challenge.

Because I’m pretty sure it’s impossible for Brit to go more than 10 minutes without sipping down one of her beloved frozen Frapps.
Plenty of throwback hits.Giphy
Corden’s usually pretty clutch about making sure his front-seat passengers resurrect their oldest and biggest hits, and hopefully Brit is no exception. Might we suggest perusing our list of the best Britney singles that weren’t released as singles for inspiration?
Intel about album No. 9.
WE NEED ALL THE GLORY SCOOPS WE CAN GET. And we wouldn’t be mad hearing Britney sing one of the album’s new tracks before its official release. Nope, wouldn’t be mad at all.
Britney can still dance her ass off and she’s still flexible as hell, so we’d love to see her teach Corden how to do a split or some of her killer choreography. Plus, she recently celebrated the 18th anniversary of the “...Baby One More Time” video, so we’d love to see her recreate her flawlessly executed backflip.
A cameo appearance from her sons.
Because Jayden and Sean are too cute not to grace America’s television screens.

Brit’s Insta is the stuff of legend. One day it will be archived and meticulously studied by Spears scholars (if it isn’t already, that is), because it’s just too wonderfully bizarre. We need her to dish all her secrets to the perfect ’gram.

C’MON, BRIT! Fans are thirstily clamoring for it. We need to see it. It is time. Please and thank you.
