Fans were rightfully devastated when Tom Hiddleston's treacherous, albeit oh-so-lovable Loki was cut from Avengers: Age of Ultron. (We're still waiting for that deleted scene, Marvel.) But the Asgardian prince will make his triumphant return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Taika Waititi's Thor: Ragnarok, which hits theaters in November 2017.
Hiddleston is currently on set in Australia, and it looks like he's up to his old tricks as the raven-haired God of Mischief. On Tuesday, the actor joined Instagram and posted a first-look photo of Loki with a simple message: "He's back!"
Earlier this summer, Hiddleston and his co-star Chris Hemsworth teased Thor and Loki's "different" dynamic in the upcoming third Thor outing at Wizard World.
"I think tonally it's a big shift in a great way, more than anything we've seen before," Hemsworth said. "Taika Waititi, the director, if you know any of his work, he's just an incredible sort of comedic talent. There's a lot of heart in everything he does. It's a very different Thor, it's a different Loki; we go off on another world that we haven't experienced before."
Does this mean Loki will be less of a villain and more of a brother in Thor: Ragnarok? Knowing Loki, there's always a trick up those fabulously tailored sleeves.
