Lin-Manuel Miranda And The Rock Sing Your New Favorite Disney Song With A Little Help From Moana

‘We Know the Way’ will be your next song on repeat

If Lin-Manuel Miranda’s song “We Know the Way” wasn’t stuck in your head before the Moana trailer dropped during the Olympics on Sunday (August 7), it definitely is now. Miranda created the song with Samoan musician Opetaia Foa’i and Mark Mancina, a Lion King composer, and though the full song hasn’t been officially released yet, it can be heard in both the trailer from last night and the one from earlier this summer.

When Miranda took over Disney Animation’s Instagram on Sunday, it was basically just him singing famous Disney songs — including a Beauty and the Beast duet with star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. While watching Miranda reenact all the characters from the Mulan song “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” is pure, unadulterated joy, it was his final video that really won the internet.

The Hamilton star jammed out to his new Disney song with Johnson and Moana herself, Auli’i Cravalho, and it’ll definitely make you fall in love with Disney’s newest film.

That’s producer Osnat Shurer and codirectors Ron Clements and John Musker, who also codirected The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Hercules, The Princess and the Frog, Treasure Planet, and The Great Mouse Detective, singing along with the trio.

So get ready, everyone: Moana is coming on November 23, and it’s going to be GLORIOUS.
