JoJo’s comeback train is continuing to chug along nicely.

Less than a week after debuting “Fuck Apologies,” she visited The Elvis Duran Show to give her anti-apology anthem a stripped down makeover. Sure, it was the censored, solo version sans Wiz Khalifa’s fiery verse, but JoJo performed it with just as much attitude as the original.

The 25-year-old then performed her cover song of choice: Shawn Mendes’s dramatic new single “Treat You Better.” Accompanied by just an acoustic guitar, JoJo let her soulful voice shine with plenty of impressive vocal runs, and even tweaked the lyrics: “Any guy like you deserves a real woman,” she sings on the chorus.

Upon seeing her cover, Mendes reacted appropriately, tweeting an ecstatic “are you guys seeing this!!!!” followed by three heart-eyed emojis.

In case you have any doubt, his excitement is 100 percent legit — back in April, Mendes tweeted how much he loves JoJo as an artist. Oh, how things have come full circle!

JoJo’s long-awaited third album, Mad Love, is due out October 14. Expect Mendes to be first in line for it.
