Clayton Snyder Is In A New Murder Mystery Series — Like On That One 'Lizzie McGuire' Episode

Ethan Craft back at it again with the murder

It's interesting how the past sometimes comes back in unique ways, which is sort of what happened with Lizzie McGuire's Ethan Craft, a.k.a. Clayton Snyder. On Thursday (July 28), Snyder shared the trailer for his upcoming project, Edgar Allan Poe's Murder Mystery Dinner Party.

A creation of Shipwrecked Comedy, the 11-part miniseries follows famed author Edgar Allan Poe getting way in over his head when he throws a party and someone bites the dust. His guests, naturally, include other writers like Agatha Christie, Mary Shelley, Ernest Hemingway, and Fyodor Dostoevsky — the latter being Snyder's character.

Dostoevsky, if you slept through AP English, was the Russian author known for Crime and Punishment, The Brothers Karamazov, and The Idiot. Based on the trailer, Snyder's donned a Russian accent for the role — this character couldn't be more different than dopey-but-lovable Ethan Craft.

After watching the trailer, Edgar Allan Poe's Murder Mystery Dinner Party gave me serious vibes of that murder mystery Lizzie McGuire episode, "Clue-Less," where Lizzie wants to be the first to solve the "murder" of Lord Spencer McGuffin, a.k.a. her father, and impress her crush, Ethan, at his own party. She gets in a race with Gordo, but eventually lets him win and they lived happily ever after. Sorta.

The series premieres August 22. Check out Shipwrecked Comedy's Facebook or Twitter for more information.
