Allison Scagliotti — who was Josh Peck's TV girlfriend/arch-nemesis Mindy Crenshaw on Dan Schneider’s Nickelodeon show — will play a recurring character on the CW vampire saga. “The black cat's out of the bag, I guess,” Scagliotti tweeted after Entertainment Weekly shared the casting news on Wednesday (July 20).

According to EW, Scagliotti’s character is Georgie, a research intern who suffers from the demons of her past. (Girl, don’t we all.) The CW’s official character description, as EW points out, states that Georgie “channels existential anxieties into a new field of study that will force her to confront her deepest fears.” In the words of Marty McFly, “Whoa, this is heavy.” Her first appearance will be on the Season 8 premiere, which airs October 21, and she is truly feeling the love from fans.
