Selena Gomez Invited One Of Her ‘Best Friends’ To Duet With Her: Watch

It was also their first official live performance... and it ruled

Sorry, American Selenators — your girl Selena Gomez has wrapped up the U.S. leg of her Revival tour and will soon be taking her talents overseas. But she didn’t skip town without one last surprise: At her final stop in Anaheim, California, she welcomed Charlie Puth (whom she called “one of my best friends”) to the stage for the first official live performance of “We Don’t Talk Anymore.”

On Tuesday, Puth released an official video of their performance on YouTube, which is a welcome reminder that — oh yeah! — this breezy breakup jam kinda rules. (Plus, it sounds a million times better in July than it did when it was first released this past winter... those tropical vibes were way too out of place in January.)

In the vid, wildly shaggy-haired Puth sets up shop behind a piano while Gomez roams and twirls her way around the stage. Eventually, she gets cozy with him on the piano bench and they end the song with a big bear hug, because that’s what friends (yes, they’re JUST FRIENDS) do. Awww.

“We Don’t Talk Anymore” is from Puth’s debut album, Nine Track Mind, released earlier this year. He kicks off a major headlining tour this fall, while Gomez is gearing up for the Asian and Australian legs of her tour.
