How To Know Which Condom To Choose

Variety is the spice of life -- especially when it comes to your sex life

Do you grab your tried-and-true condom box at the drugstore without a second thought every time? Do you know why you're using that one? If you haven't experimented with the ever-growing condom aisle selection, you could be missing out on an even more satisfying and pleasurable sex experience. In this episode of "D*ck Picks: Knowing Which Condom to Choose," sexologist Shannon Boodram and YouTube sensation Josh Leyva talk about how much fun you can have by trying on different condoms. (Like, the Most. Fun. Fashion. Show. Ever.) Unsure of how to get started when faced with an overwhelming condom aisle of options? Shannon and Josh cover how to choose the best condom for your d*ck and your partner's satisfaction. Watch here:

Finding your perfect condom is the ultimate fun experiment. Here's how to spice up your next "Netflix and chill" sesh with bae.

1. Talk about what you like. We get it, discussing what you like during sex can feel awkward, but, like Fifth Harmony tells us, it's "Worth It." Shannon and Josh offer up some pointers in the video above.

2. Use different types of condoms. Some variety packs have condoms that will evoke a "Warming" sensation while some will provide a more "Intense" sensation. Others will have ribbed pleasure grooves, feel ultra thin, or have a silky smooth lubricated texture. Discuss with your partner how you each felt after each experience and if you thought the condom enhanced your pleasure.

3. Have a "ladies' choice" night (or morning). According to a 2011 Trojan survey, 85 percent of men indicated that they had purchased a condom compared to only 51 percent of women. Ladies, don't leave all of your pleasure into the hands of your man. (Okay, some of your pleasure should definitely come from his hands.) Being responsible AF for preventing unintended pregnancies and STIs is a two-person job. Always have condoms on hand at your place or in your purse in your guy's size and look for ones that catch your eye — some have more lubrication and others are designed with your pleasure in mind.

4. Take turns putting on the condom. Ladies, if you haven't put a condom on anything since your high school Sex Ed banana rolling experience, it's time to take charge and practice. Squeeze the tip of the condom gently and hold it while you roll the condom down to the base of the erect penis, slowly and seductively with both hands while locking eyes with your guy. It'll be a turn-on. Promise.

Use a condom every time. Responsible AF.
