Ryan Gosling And Emma Stone Are A Musical Dream Team In La La Land Trailer

Gosling sings a wistful love song in Damien Chazelle's dreamy musical romance ‘La La Land’

Prepare to fall deeper in love with Ryan Gosling. The first trailer for Damien Chazelle's big-screen musical La La Land was released Wednesday morning (July 13), and it features dreamy imagery, wistful young romance, and a brand-new song from Gosling.

In La La Land, which is being described as a "modern take on the Hollywood musical," Gosling and Emma Stone play a pair of aspiring artists who fall in love in Los Angeles. But the pressures of trying to make it big in Hollywood threaten to ruin their fragile love affair.

Excuse me. But why would anyone ever want to rip dynamic duo Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone apart? Especially when they’re singing and dancing?!

The teaser trailer, set to the original song "City of Stars" performed by Gosling, features a montage of Sebastian (Gosling) and Mia (Stone) through their many highs and lows in the City of Angels. Though no words are spoken, their chemistry is undeniably palpable.

"City of stars, are you shining just for me? City of stars, there's so much I can't see," Gosling croons. And good news: You don't have to wait until December to listen to Gosling's swoon-worthy vocals. "City of Stars" is available for download now via iTunes and it's currently streaming on Tidal.

La La Land hits theaters December 2, 2016.
