Big K.R.I.T. Dropped An Album's Worth Of Freestyles — And Some Major Label News

K.R.I.T. raps over Kanye, Drake, Pusha T, and more

Consistency has been a calling card for Big K.R.I.T. Since his 2010 breakout mixtape, K.R.I.T. Wuz Here, the Mississippi native has released a project yearly, from official albums to other standout mixtapes.

He kept that run going into 2016 with a set of 12 freestyles, released hourly beginning at noon on Tuesday. For #12for12, Krizzle goes in over some of today's most prominent rap tracks, from Drake's "4PM in Calabasas" to Kanye West's "Real Friends" to French Montana and Kodak Black's "Lockjaw."

There was more than just the music, though. K.R.I.T. also dropped some major news about his label situation: that he is no longer with a major. The 29-year-old, who signed with Def Jam back in 2010, said he's no longer associated with the historic label.

Hopefully, this means a lot more new music from K.R.I.T. is on the way.
