Kanye West Will Debut His Official ‘Famous’ Video In A ‘Groundbreaking’ Way

And it's coming sooner than you think

In February, Kanye West turned the debut of The Life of Pablo into a must-see spectacle, with a huge listening party at Madison Square Garden that doubled as his Yeezy Season 3 launch. Now, he’s announced that he’ll premiere the music video for TLOP single “Famous” in similarly extravagant fashion.

This time, ‘Ye’s taking his talents to the West Coast, with a premiere event at the Forum in Los Angeles on Friday. Seeing the so-called “groundbreaking” visual in person will cost fans $25, and will also include access to exclusive merch designed specifically for the event. For fans who can’t make it, the event will also be livestreamed on Tidal for both subscribers and non-subscribers, starting at 7 p.m. PT on Friday.

No word yet on whether Yeezy will make an appearance at the Forum, but if he does, hopefully he’ll explain why the phenomenal “Famous” video created by Master of None’s Aziz Ansari and Eric Wareheim didn’t get chosen as the track’s official clip. Or -- who knows? -- maybe ‘Ye will troll us all and the parody vid will be screened at the event. Man, that’d be SO Kanye.
