Josh Peck Finally Put A Long-Held Drake & Josh Rumor To Rest

TV is not real life, people

First rule of the internet: Don't believe everything you read. Over the weekend, a rumor recirculated on Twitter that Nancy Sullivan and Jonathan Goldstein, the parents on Drake & Josh, were actually married IRL. As sweet as this would be, it's sadly not true.

For starters, the source is a non-verified account, so take it with a grain of salt. Second, do you really and truly think something this adorable would've gone unnoticed and unchecked for 10-plus years? Third, Goldstein uploaded an Insta of himself and his TV wife last year with the caption, "Look who I ran into! #MomAndDadDrakeAndJosh."

Call me old-fashioned, but if you were married to someone, would bumping into them on the street be enough news to warrant a photo? Since, you know, you could just see them at home?

But hey, don't take my word for it. Josh Peck set the record straight on Sunday (June 19), simultaneously educating the web and crushing people's dreams.

Naturally, a couple of fans didn't hesitate to break out the Drake & Josh puns, because duh.

So that settles it once and for all. Besides, we all know Sullivan ended up with Channel 11's meteorologist, Bruce Winchell. I mean, have you seen his hair?
