Kim Kardashian Calls Out Taylor Swift For Playing 'The Victim Again'

Kim takes on Taylor in her GQ profile

Yesterday, Kim Kardashian's first GQ cover was released into the world, and with it came the promise of a revealing interview, which Kim never fails to deliver. Today, the full profile was released, and while the entire thing is well worth your time — like, your job can wait, OK? — there is one section that is particularly worthy of your attention.

It's the part where Kim calls Taylor Swift a liar.

A bit of background for those who don't remember the status of Kanye West and Taylor's relationship at any given time: In February, Kanye played the then-new song "Famous" at his Madison Square Garden album launch show. In the song, Kanye raps, "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous."

Following the release of the song, Kanye claimed that Taylor not only signed off on the lyrics, but came up with them herself. Taylor's camp, on the other hand, claims that she never heard the song AND cautioned Kanye from releasing a song with such a "strong misogynistic message."

In her interview, though, Kim calls bullshit. She says, "She totally approved that. She totally knew that that was coming out. She wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn't."

She continues:

I don't know why she just, you know, flipped all of a sudden ... It was funny because [on the call with Kanye, Taylor] said, ‘When I get on the Grammy red carpet, all the media is going to think that I'm so against this, and I'll just laugh and say, ‘The joke's on you, guys. I was in on it the whole time.' And I'm like, wait, but [in] your Grammy speech, you completely dissed my husband just to play the victim again.

Not only that, but Kim claims there's video proof that this conversation happened because Kanye has videographers film everything when he's recording an album. Oh, and Taylor knows the footage exists because, according to Kim, they received an attorney's letter saying, "Don't ever let that footage come out of me saying that. Destroy it."

GQ contacted Taylor's team for a response, and while a spokesperson declined to answer specific questions, a statement was provided claiming, among other things, that Taylor heard the song for the first time when everyone else did, and — you might want to take a seat for this one — "Taylor cannot understand why Kanye West, and now Kim Kardashian, will not just leave her alone."

Taylor hasn't responded yet — hi, she's busy sitting on rocks kissing Tom Hiddleston — but, whew, we are so ready for whatever is next in this saga. Please let it be the release of the tape.

PLEASE, KIM, WE NEED IT!!!!
