Meghan Trainor Honored Christina Grimmie With A Beautiful Live Tribute

An entire amphitheater raised their voices and their phones for the late singer

Hours after The Voice singer Christina Grimmie tragically passed away from gunshot wounds at the age of 22, Meghan Trainor honored her memory by lighting up a whole amphitheater.

Grimmie was shot at an Orlando autograph signing by a man who may have been a disturbed fan. She died early Saturday morning (June 11) at an area hospital.

That night, Trainor took the stage at BLI’s Summer Jam in Wantagh, New York. She dedicated “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” to the late singer, urging fans to sing along and hold their phone lights high in the air.

Trainor posted a video to Instagram that shows her fans lighting up the entire Nikon at Jones Beach Theater. It’s a touching tribute to a light that was extinguished far too early.
