Last week, the Jonas fam was rocking out at DNCE's New Jersey concert, and this week they're celebrating the release of Nick's new album, Last Year Was Complicated, as well as the opening of their new family restaurant.
On Tuesday (June 7), Kevin, Joe, Nick, and little bro Frankie took a break from their busy schedules -- tours, album releases, the usual -- to join their parents at a family-and-friends reception for their new family-oriented, Southern-inspired restaurant, Nellie's Southern Kitchen in Belmont, North Carolina.
The restaurant is named after the Jonas bros' great-grandmother Nellie, who passed away in 2011. "Every day my grandmother would come home with cotton in her hair ... and make the most amazing chicken and dumplings, biscuits and gravy. And hopefully this is our way of paying honor to her and all the good people of Belmont," papa Kevin Jonas Sr. told The Gaston Gazette.
The restaurant is serving delish comfort food like pecan pie, fried chicken, biscuits and gravy, shrimp, grits, and bacon -- especially for Nick, obvi. Just read the menu and try to stop your mouth from watering. It also includes a rooftop patio, fire pit, and musical entertainment, and who better to christen the eatery than DNCE?
Nellie's opens to the public on Monday (June 13), which means I am def planning a trip to North Carolina this summer.
