Just a week after Fifth Harmony released their sophomore album, 7/27, Dinah Jane Hansen got back in the recording studio. In a head-scratching twist, though, she apparently decided to make it a solo endeavor, giving us a small but promising taste of what a Dinah Jane solo project might look like.
The 18-year-old teamed up with Oakland-based rapper and producer Stunna June, who shared pics and videos of their studio session on Instagram. In a pair of clips, Dinah’s voice reaches towering heights as she sings, “But you always make up to break up / I give my all to you, I give my all to you.”
Don’t worry, Harmonizers -- before you sound the “breakup” alarm, just know this isn’t the first time the 5H ladies have branched out on their own. Normani Kordei recently recorded a cover of R&B singer Tory Lanez’s hit “Say It,” while Camila Cabello notably duetted with Shawn Mendes on “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” Dinah’s just doing her thing, experimenting with different sounds and building up her repertoire, just like an 18-year-old singer should be doing. Besides, don't even lie: This song sounds pretty dope.
