Watch Miley Cyrus Rip Her Pants Off During A Gender-Bending Leonard Cohen Cover

On the series premiere of Maya and Marty

Tuesday night (May 31), Miley Cyrus indulged in a playfully gender-fluid performance on the series premiere of Maya and Marty, NBC's new variety show from Saturday Night Live expats Maya Rudolph and Martin Short.

Decked out in a sequined top hat and suit jacket, Cyrus sang a riveting cover of Leonard Cohen’s classic “I’m Your Man.” Then she ripped her pants off and dove straight into a passionate take on Peggy Lee’s “I’m a Woman,” joined by Rudolph herself.

Cyrus came out as gender fluid a year ago, and she’s embraced queerness in her performances since (she rocked a strap-on dildo on the Dead Petz tour). This latest TV performance is a good deal more subdued than her usual fare, but it still speaks to her versatility and charisma as a singer.
