With her Revival Tour in full swing, it’s safe to assume Selena Gomez has music at the forefront of her mind. But the multitalented 23-year-old also has a budding acting career to tend to, as proven by the trailer for her latest project, The Fundamentals of Caring.
The film -- which was scooped up by Netflix after premiering at Sundance Film Festival earlier this year -- stars Paul Rudd as an emotionally bruised caregiver to his first client, a sarcastic 18-year-old with muscular dystrophy. Together, they hit the highway to check out the “lamest roadside attractions” across the country (think “the world’s deepest pit”). Along the way, they meet Dot (Gomez), a runaway who smokes and curses with reckless abandon. If you ever wanted to see Sel call someone “an enormous dick,” now’s your chance.
The Fundamentals of Caring premieres on Netflix on June 24.
