Chance The Rapper Celebrates Anniversary Of Surf With Unreleased Music

If you want to take a quick break from Coloring Book

All month, Chance the Rapper has been celebrating the release of his third mixtape, Coloring Book. That's brought us music videos, interviews, tidbits about the music and plenty more. Over the weekend, though, Chance took a brief break from Coloring Book to look back to last year and Surf, his collaborative mixtape with Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment.

To commemorate the one-year anniversary of the project, Chano and Donnie dropped an 11-minute song called "The First Time," which strings together snippets from the Surf sessions that were previously unreleased.

"This is a collection of unused Surf pieces, an ode to the era," the wrote on Soundcloud, adding that the track not only featured Chance, but also Ady Suleiman, J.P. Floyd, Dustin Green and Cam Obi. "Thank you to everyone who's still listening and growing with the music."
