While filming the show’s fiery Dosh Khaleen takedown, Clarke and her costars took breaks in between takes. Sometimes Joseph Naufahu, who played the pompous Khal Moro, fell asleep during this downtime. Clarke seized the opportunity to prank him by drawing on his face. But instead of penises — the go-to doodle for drawing-on-face pranks everywhere — she wrote Dothraki phrases on his arms or forehead.
