Demi Lovato Calls Out Feminists Who Don't Do 'The Work'

Work, work, work, work, work, work

When Taylor Swift donated $250,000 to Kesha during her ongoing legal battle with Dr. Luke, many people were impressed by her generosity and support. Demi Lovato, however, was not one of those people — she took to Twitter to air her thoughts on the matter, writing, "Take something to Capitol Hill or actually speak out about something and then I'll be impressed."

In a new interview with Refinery29, Demi elaborated, saying, "My thing is, don’t brand yourself a feminist if you don't do the work. I have an immense amount of respect for women like Lena Dunham ... or Beyoncé, who make amazing political statements through their work."
