Orange Is The New Black Season 4 Trailer Is Unexpectedly Dark

'Do you know the difference between pain and suffering?'

It's getting crowded at Litchfield Penitentiary, and tensions are predictably running high among the inmates. What's not so predictable, however, is the amount of pain and suffering in the new trailer for the fourth season of Orange Is the New Black. With nearly every inmate on the verge of a breakdown, Season 4 looks unexpectedly dark.

Now that Litchfield is for-profit, the prison has become overpopulated, and there aren't enough COs. Things are going downhill fast, which could explain why everyone is losing it. Piper feels unsafe (to be fair, she did that to herself by becoming the panty kingpin of Litchfield), Lolly is erratic, Red may be headed to solitary, Black Cindy is already making enemies, Sophia is still locked up in the SHU, and Poussey and Soso look surprisingly solemn. Not to mention, Nicky and Alex are still nowhere to be found.

At least things are looking up for Taystee, who appears to be Caputo's new secretary... of sorts. Get it, grrrrl.

The fourth season of Orange Is the New Black hits Netflix on Friday, June 17.
