This Justin Bieber-Passover Mash-Up Dares The Pharaoh To Go And Love Himself

... or else suffer from a lot of horrible plagues

Jewish a cappella group The Maccabeats first shot to viral fame in 2010, when they made “Candlelight” -- their rendition of Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite” -- for Hanukkah. Now, the guys are back with a new song for Passover (the Jewish holiday begins April 22), which mashes up three of Justin Bieber’s Purpose singles to surprisingly catchy results.

In the video, the all-male group twists “What Do You Mean?” and “Sorry” into Passover-themed anthems, and “Love Yourself” into a biting tell-off to the ancient Egyptian pharaoh who enslaved Jews. “Pharoah, you should know that / Our god’s gonna smite you with blood and lice and frogs / Until you free us, ‘cause slavery is wrong,” the guys threaten, before concluding, “So if you like the way your kingdom looks, pharaoh, you should let my people go.”

Check out the vid below, and send it to all your Passover-celebrating friends and/or Beliebers -- this one clearly has major crossover appeal.
