The “All About That Bass” singer took home the award for Best New Artist at this year’s Grammy Awards, but not everyone was happy about her win. "I woke up to two texts saying ‘You fat c**t, you don’t deserve that award, please give it back,’” Trainor said. Apparently, someone had gotten ahold of her number and taken the opportunity to abuse the singer.
She still doesn’t know who the culprit was, but she can safely say she’s “over it” by now. "When the award itself arrives it will be like a new gift I know I deserve."
Trainor's second album Thank You arrives May 13, and she just teased a clip of her forthcoming single “Better” on Instagram.
In her new interview, she also was tasked with summing up Thank You in just three emojis. She picked "the champagne bottle, the party one with the confetti, and the smiley face with the heart eyes because it gets a bit gooey. Overall it’s fun, positive and upbeat."
