Young Dumbledore Will Definitely Maybe Apparate Into Fantastic Beasts

Watch the cast of 'Fantastic Beasts' try to dodge our Dumbledore questions

If you had any concern that Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them would fail to recreate the magic of Harry Potter, rest assured that Eddie Redmayne and the delightful cast of Fantastic Beasts have created something truly special. The recently released trailer gave us our first real look at the film, and it emits the same sense of adventure and whimsy as the original series.

Of course this time around, there will be plenty of fantastic beasts to up the magical ante, like this cute lil' Niffler who made his debut in the Fantastic Beasts trailer. So, who is he, and what kind of ties does he have to magizoologist Newt Scamander?

When we caught up with Fantastic Beasts stars Alison Sudol (Queenie) and Dan Fogler (Jacob) at CinemaCon, we asked them all about this fast and furry-ous little troublemaker.

"The Niffler is one of the cuter, cuddlier creatures in the movie," Fogler told MTV News's Josh Horowitz in the video above. "He's this fuzzy little guy who has a marsupial pouch. He likes shiny things, and he collects things. He'd take the camera, and stuff it into his pouch and run away."

OK, so he's an adorable little thief. To be honest, we'd pay serious Dragots to play with a Niffler. He's just so cute!

As for the other part of the Fantastic Beasts trailer that made us nearly hyperventilate, we can expect even more references to Dumbledore -- and maybe even a peak at the young Transfiguration teacher -- in the new wizarding world trilogy. "As the stories go along, you will hear mention of your favorite characters," Fogler said, "And you may meet their young counterparts along the way."

Eeeeeeek!
