Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump Remixed Carly Rae Jepsen’s ‘Run Away With Me’

Plus, hear two other dreamy remixes

Following the recent meme-filled virality of “Run Away With Me,” Carly Rae Jepsen has debuted three new remixes of the euphoric Emotion track.

Most notably, Fall Out Boy frontman Patrick Stump revamped the song into a booming anthem that dials down the saxophone riff, slows down the verses, and gets a stomp- and clap-heavy outro reminiscent of FOB’s “Centuries.”

Michigan-based producer Ayokay’s harpsichord-heavy remix is decidedly less straightforward. He opted to mix up the order of the track, kicking off with the original song’s climax, nixing the first verse completely, and repeating the lyric “over the weekend we can turn the world to gold.”

And for the third and final remix, Irish producer EMBRZ served up a mellow reworking that highlights Jepsen's yearning vocals. You won't even miss the sax, believe it or not.

Of course, the original “Run Away With Me” is a straight-up jam that didn’t necessarily need a makeover, but these fresh remixes are welcome new ways to appreciate Carly Rae Slay.
