Shia LaBeouf Was The World's Worst Flirter In Disney's Hounded

The DCOM turns 15 this year

Fifteen years ago today (April 13), the world met a new side of Shia LaBeouf in the Disney Channel Original Movie Hounded. Unlike his character Louis Stevens on Even Stevens, Ronny Van Dusen is the spoiled rich kid you love to hate. He basically gets away with murder, unlike Louis, who's always caught in the act of one of his schemes.

Ronny is a slime bag who steals Jay Martin's (Tahj Mowry) presentation and wins a scholarship to a prestigious academy. That alone is worthy of a very loud "ugh," but it's his dating game that really deserves all the eye rolls and cringes.

  • For starters, this is how he begins to flirt.
    Disney

He not-so-casually pushes back nonexistent long hair in an attempt to look suave. No.

  • Then, he shows his insanely cocky side by inviting his crush to a victory party for something he hasn't even won yet.
    Disney

The object of his affection, Tracy Richburg (Sara Paxton), is clearly not having it.

  • Go back to your DMX bikes and fancy pool house, Ronny. Tracy doesn't wanna buy what you're selling.
    Disney
  • Oh, and that eyebrow thing needs to go.
    Disney
  • Later, he urges Tracy to go to his stupid party yet again.
    Disney

Social cues, Ronny. Learn them, love them, accept them.

  • Also, personal space, Ronny. Personal space is a thing of beauty.
    Disney
  • Ronny tends to have this negative effect on people.
    Disney
  • So much so that Tracy practically begs Jay with her wide eyes and "help me" hand motion to come and save her from Ronny's unwanted flirtation.
    Disney
  • But perhaps the most painful part of Ronny's dating game is this finger gun moment.
    Disney

    *Cringes*

  • And clearly, all of it is for naught, since Tracy is totally not into him.
    Disney
  • Woof, Ronny. Your love life's really gone to the dogs, but maybe your time at Starkwell Military Academy will knock some sense into you.
